The Lady Who Went Too Far

Bedlam Productions
2013

The incredible true story of Lady Hester Stanhope, who rejected London society in the early 1800s to travel across the Mediterranean and into the Middle East, where she played a key role in stifling Napoleon's advances towards India. A controversial figure in her time, Hester's story combines passionate romance and deadly espionage in a tale of remarkable bravery and adventure from one of the most pioneering women in history.

The Lady Who Went Too Far sees Bedlam's Gareth Unwin reunite with David Seidler - the BAFTA and Academy Award-winning writer of The King's Speech - who is adapting the screenplay from Kirsten Ellis' vivid biography, Star Of The Morning.

The film is slated to begin shooting in 2013 for a 2014 release.
